The Siesta (2:00 PM – 5:00 PM):
Respect the afternoon quiet. Many locals rest during the heat of the day, so please keep poolside noise and loud music to a minimum during these hours.
Dining & Church Dress Code:
While casual dress is perfectly fine, walking into a town restaurant or church without a shirt (for men) or in just a bikini (for women) is considered very disrespectful. Simply "cover up" to show respect when away from the beach or pool.
The Night Rest (11:00 PM onwards):
Sound travels fast in the still Mallorca air. Please move social gatherings inside after 11:00 PM. Most of the people living in the town center are up at 6:00 AM to open the local bakeries and shops.
Water Conservation:
Water is precious on the island. Please report any dripping taps, running toilets, or irrigation leaks to your host or villa management company.
Waste Etiquette:
Never leave rubbish outside your door during the day. Only place sorted bags in the designated street zones after 8:00 PM. Seeing bin bags baking in the sun at 11:00 AM is the ultimate local visual eyesore.
