To determine your collection schedule, identify your villa's location relative to the Main Road (running through the town from the Roman Bridge toward the center).
• 🔴 RED ZONE: Your villa is on the Port side of the main central road.
• 🟢 GREEN ZONE: Your Villa is on the Mountain/Calvari side of the main central road.
Weekly Waste Calendar
Each evening is designated for a specific type of sorted waste (Organic, Plastic, Paper, or Glass). Please consult our standard weekly collection guide below.
The Rule: Put your bags out between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM.
🚜 Port & Properties Outside Town
Most rural villas do not have doorstep collection. You must take your sorted rubbish to the nearest "Punts de Recollida" (Collection Points marked with Large Green & Grey Bins) located at the entrance of most rural lanes or along the main roads (Ma-2200 and Ma-2220).
The Rule: Always separate your waste.
Green bins: General waste.
Yellow bins: Plastic & cans.
Blue bins: Paper & cardboard.
Igloo-shaped brown bins: Glass.
Tip: Never leave rubbish outside the bins or on the ground. The local "Policia" can issue heavy fines directly to the property owner. They use cameras and check addresses in dumped bags frequently.
